Suspected political assassin Vance Luther Boelter was captured Sunday following an intense manhunt for the gunman accused of murdering a Minnesota state lawmaker and wounding another, state officials announced.
Boelter, a 57-year-old former appointee of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, was sought by police for allegedly wounding Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, and killing former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband.
“After a two-day manhunt and two sleepless nights, law enforcement have apprehended Vance Boelter,” Walz said during a press briefing.

I hope the survivors can identify him.....the whole thing is so weird who knows what might happen.
You never know, he might get Epsteined before it’s over.
The press conference last night was a joke.
Many of them are, especially when the Democrat politicians get in front of the microphone.
The other day Walz ,of all people , was going on about political violence.

I’m a low-end landlord. I’ve dealt with a few people who were using drugs. They can have zero sense of reality. If you only meet them briefly, they may sound coherent. One guy had been laid off from his state job. It was astonishing he had it as long as he did because I never spoke to him without him looking and sounding like he was stoned. As far as dealing with reality, I’d arrive at ten am, roust him from bed and wait for him to realize I was there in truth and not an apparition. He’d spin some story about how he was going to get the rent that made no sense and was often self-contradictory. And, yet, at other times, presumably after a hit of his drug, he sounded coherent for short periods.
I would not be surprised if the killer was using drugs or had some serious mental condition.
I’m convinced he was drugged out of his mind, probably psych drugs and his wife left him.
The governor was singing a very different tune last night at the press conference to announce the capture. He was encouraging an end to political strife and the need to come to a consensus peacefully and without contention in memory of the assassinated house member.
His connection to Walz needs to be scrutinized closely.
A couple of things that have been missing in the news reports:
1. How did Boelter get his second car after leaving his faux police car at the second shooting? Did Boelter park his second car nearby the second shooting previously that day?
2. Why is there no reporting about the roommate who read the supposed text message from Boelter? I saw one FR posting suggesting that the roommate may have a criminal history.
Nothing about this story makes sense and us normal folk will never hear the truth.
When will we read that he killed himself while he is cuffed behind the back???
