We are very far, far away from that America and that time… unfortunately.
The illegality of the Federal welfare state still stands. But activist lawyers and judges(even SCOTUS) are afraid to touch it just like they won’t touch the meaning of the phrase “Shall not be infringed” in the second amendment.
Maybe Trump will directly ask SCOTUS to advise him about both of those.
