I came here as a fairly young man and now I'm coming up to retirement age! I have become one of the cranky old bastards that I used to complain about many years ago.
I don't post here quite as often as I used to but I'll never write an opus. They never go over well!
I have my own issues with this site, which is why I pulled my monthly contribution after many, many years of contributing, but if they ever get bad enough for me not to come back, I'll just disappear.
That said, I never experienced the anti-semitism here you point out. Maybe I just don't read those particular threads.
Anyway, this site has now been a part of my life for nearly 28 years now (I was here in 1997 under a different username). Lot of great times here and hopefully the site gets back to it's old form one of these days. I think the main problem here is that we are mostly a bunch of old people. We need an influx of youngsters. Without younger people, this site eventually will go away because we will all be dead.

A decline in the quality of conservative news sites is part of it. Yet ti say "here's NOTHING useful published on these websites" is not objectively true, at least as regards the DailyMail, yet that is a soft porn site.
If anyone dares to post some thought provoking article from some small blog or some less-known unfamiliar site, you’re instantly accused of blog-pimping.

I have much respect for Jim and what he’s built but I really feel like he only appears when appealing for money. He certainly is not actively involved in leading and guiding the site into the future.

E) My final issue with FR is the functionality of the site. There hasn’t been a single update to this site since I joined. Not a thing. No, we don’t need flashy profiles and avatars and other silly bells and jingles but it’s 2025 and simple features like the ability to edit your comment or even delete it would be nice. A like and dislike option to a post would also be a nice feature and save a lot of the commenting issues I mentioned above.
The ability to respond inline to comments would also make the flow much easier–If someone makes a comment at #12 and I dont join in until comment #93, I’m forced to copy/paste what they wrote so my comment can be understood in context. And no in 2025, I shouldn’t have to use html to post a picture. The breaking news is often hours behind an actual event happening. The search features are primitive at best. The site can still be very basic looking but can still be user-friendly.Overall, it is still far superior to any other forum I have ever been on. You would find the cynwoody. How can anyone on this site not understand that Jim’s site will be a major target of umpteen private intelligence companies hired to create puppet accounts, and post stuff which will offend people, so they leave. The last thing the powers want to see is JimRob as King of the Conservative internet. If they can drive away all the readers, RINO Inc wins.
I am sure there are people here posting pro Ukraine posts designed to inflame, as well as Anti-Ukraine posts designed to inflame. Same with Israel and antisemitism, Paleocon-neocon, Anti-Trump, and on and on. Their goal is to reduce this site’s influence so people go to controlled venues, where they do not do this, and the readers are all narrative-nurtured automatons.
Posting comments is far rarer than people think, so you start out with posters being relatively rare. Then you add in that the paid ones are running like a hundred different IPs in a day and posting non-stop from 200 different accounts, and they can easily keep up with, or even overwhelm natural, organic posters.
I get this all the time on my sites, and they are always trying to walk the line to make it difficult for mods to police. Just offensive enough to offend, just reasonable enough to argue in a mod’s mind against banning for freedom reasons. And mods can never make everyone happy.
If you give up they win. If you even take them seriously and waste neural power on them they win. I am sure they are high fiving each other right now.
The only answer is, make the friends here you want, and ignore that which you do not like.
I know the antisemitism is bad when people don’t even recognize it right in front of their faces.
