Task Manager loves you and wants you
Did you happen to smell any curry while this was going on?
Alexa: You never take me anywhere!
Me: Alexa, OK. I’ll put you in the kitchen, make me a sammich.
Hilarious! What made it even more hilarious is my Alexa kept trying to plays songs by Bruno Mars whenever the woman in the video asked her Alexa to “play Bruno Mars.”
Good idea. It has not happened again, but it only occurred yesterday
I was not using any music programs and the volume was so low I could not identify the music. The Task manger will be my first move if it occurs again
Thanks for the comment
Microsoft is pushing all kind or active and push tech. Have you noted new small info windows floating on your boot screen?
Also go to you tool bar right click on it and look for “News and interests” set to off.
If you haven’t gone this yet put a piece of tape over the camera and use device manager to disable you camera and Mic.
It could also have been a browser window that stalled closing and kept running hence the sounds.
More importantly do you have a cat?????? (= ФェФ=)
For years, I have shut all my computers down when I go to bed or leave the house...
Microsoft and Nord VPN love to get into computers and screw around with “updates”...
I am still using W10 and have refused most updates for the past few years...
Maybe you left a video playing.
Take the computer to your bathroom, call your priest, have him use your tub to preform an exorcism driving out the evil spirits of MicroSoft……..
So you are the one who’s been listening to me.
Brave Browser has a bug which plays YouTube videos in the back ground even when the program is closed.
Check your full race muffler bearing.
vajimbo may have to rent a small skyhook to help trace the music.
If all fails,a little bit of pigeon milk in the drive may solve the problem.
I often use a chat service on YouTube that usually ends about 3:00 pm . There is no sound with the chat Service . If I just walk away about 90 minutes later, after the chat has been shut down by the sponsor, some other YouTube channel takes over often it is one of those cool jazz or whatever music channels perhaps that is what happened to you.
Nah. It’s the warp core. Needs more dilithium crystals.
That kind of access to a computer is very risky. In my opinion it is about as risky as finding some guy on Craigslist who advertises as a painter and agreeing to leave them your keys alarm security code, and your credit card under the doormat so they can paint your kitchen ceiling while you are at work.
Most likely some app was running in background playing music. Some apps are set to start automatically or triggered by another app.
Are you sure it was music? The noise may have just been your disk. Sometimes background stuff runs like updates that don’t function until there’s low activity on the machine. Any errors occurring may be writing logs. You can check event viewer to see what was going on during the time period in question.
