I wsnt them to track all the perverts going to strip joints...for their safety of course.

It’s right there in the story:
“Sheriff Adam King of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office told 404 Media in a phone call that the woman self-administered the abortion “and her family was worried that she was going to bleed to death, and we were trying to find her to get her to a hospital.”
And it’s nothing like what the author appears to be insinuating.

Cameras I saw back then were huge but it was a Ford Crown Victoria and had a large trunk lid (much longer than these)
Sometimes they're up by the light bar rather than the trunk lid

We’re under surveillance 24/7.
Working in an industry that relies heavily on this, it's mind-boggling how connected all the surveillance (government and private business) systems are today.
What's hilarious, is people who use cash, use Brave browser, Onion, VPN's, block cookies or "opt out" of tracking think they're tracked less, when none of that makes any difference to "legitimate" companies and government agencies.
