Are holographic clothing washable? Yes. They're plain green and already in use. They're not really a hologram but are a digital image.
Video teleconference and chat users can already select all kinds of backgrounds instead of their apartment. Now if they could only mask the chirp of the smoke detector...

Yeah I know... I have been saying that for years now. These last two generations are living in a fantasy fiction world like in a video game. Their sense of reality is shot.
