I was eyeballing a trike today. Looked like a nice ride.
My late uncle took me for a ride on his Harley when I was a kid.
Let’s just say that ride left me with no desire to ever get back on a two wheeler again.
I had him on the return flight. He spilled over into my seat. His tray table would only go halfway down, stopping at a 45 degree angle! No other seats open anywhere! Three hours of hell.
My longest trip on the roads has been a round trip between San Diego and Pocatello (I-15) on my Harley Fat Bob. The most difficult part was the weather. Very dry and hot (+116F) in the desert around Barstow and Baker CA. Cold, strong wind and rain around Nephi, UT. It was after dark as I entered southern Idaho at +42F with wind. The return trip included a thunderstorm near Utah I15 south, exit 109. Otherwise, a pleasant ride.
The Harley trikes are nice and comfortable. I don't have room in the garage that already has 9 bikes. I'm favorably inclined to the CanAm Spyder with two wheels in front, one in the rear. It's more stable than a trike with one in front. In either configuration you have to deal with a more difficult dodging of potholes. A two wheeler can dodge them with ease.
I had a similar experience in the Army. I actually got a medical height waiver but was limited in what I could do because I was too tall.
Airborne was right out.
And for clarity, at almost 300lbs, I have visible abs. I’m just really tall to the point I scare people.
My wife is over six feet and my daughters are giants, too.
Limited their dating ability, despite being beautiful. Boys were too embarrassed and/or scared. One was the prom queen and the king, a good sized football player was about a head shorter when she had on heels.
My two youngest sons are 6 ft 2.5 in in socks. I topped out at 6 ft 3/8 in at age 12. Time has stolen an inch.
Tall girls do have a challenge finding dates/mates. The tallest girl in my high school class was 6 ft 3 in. She had a frequent dating schedule with one of the basketball players who was taller.
How about letting the marketplace decide?
Airline A offers the lowest price, but has small seats for everybody.
Airline B charges by the pound, same size seats for everybody.
Airline C charges by the pound, but the seats are different sizes.
Airline D charges one high price with large seats.
We have different cars, houses, restaurants. Why are all the airlines in a race to the bottom?
+1
