We use something called Top Gun which is not much a poison but has something in it that makes them stop feeding. It works best on mice and won’t on larger critters and is supposed to not be toxic to animals that feed on mice.

MANY FARM SULLY STORES CARRY “JUST ONE BITE” FOR MICE/RATS/GOPHERS

COMES IN 1# bricks the color of butterscotch.

I unwrap the cellophane & put brick into 3 GALLON ZIPLOCKS—FREEZER TYPE.

THEN I BREAK IT ALL UP WITH A HAMMER.

I scatter it at HOLES & behind appliances where they hide.

VERY EFFECTIVE. ABOUT $8 a brick here in N Nevada.

I’ll look into the ‘Top Gun’ brand. I’m going to whip up a batch of the ‘Stay Out of My Garden’ sauce because today I had four more tomatoes pulled up by the raccoon overnight...though again, the bird feeders weren’t touched.

Easily replanted, but this is getting annoying! I’ve never had this issue before. Jerks!

I may have to start using the Liquid Bone Meal and water it in after the tomatoes start blooming, instead of putting it in the planting hole. I KNOW that’s what they’re smelling and digging for. Double Jerks! ;)
