Rubio, who I have not really been a fan of, is showing promising signs, so far. Vance is also still in the running. DeSantis did serious damage to himself. Not only is he insincere , he has exposed that he is also not as bright as he was once thought to be. There is still time for him to change that impression, but I doubt that he will be able to do so.
It starts with Vance. VP’s should always be first in line unless one is a Dick Cheney or a feeble man(Biden).
I’ve said it before. Vance should challenge any wannabe POTUS on the democrat side to a debate on one subject only. Start them early next year. The rat will be getting a break with the exposure and it will test their ability to keep up with JD.
The debate between Newsom and DeSantis was a good public service. A Vance challenge could concentrate on domestic issues and with senators it could be foreign policy. A Lincoln/Douglas debate would be an educable lesson in history. Imagine AOC talking for an hour.
I think Vance has settled for a back seat to Trump. While he supports Trump, he hasn’t made a place for himself. Rubio is about the same. DeSantis has dropped out of sight almost.
There is too much contentment in all the current possibles. I get the feeling we need someone who is willing to step out into the limelight who again has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with the preservation of the nation.
The republican party has failed the people because they were so concerned with politics, they forgot they were soliciting for a CEO. Maybe we’re looking in the wrong direction. Trump wasn’t a politician. A couple of names include -
Names like Mike Thaman, former CEO at Owens Corning.
Or Dave Leser, former CEO at Haliburton who took over for Chaney when he stepped down there.

These are examples of leaders like Trump that could be considered by some. I’m sure there are others.
