White and Black male players in the NBA are fierce competitors on the court but I do not see racial animosity. Many are great friends off the court. Larry Bird and Magic Johnson come to mind.

In the WNBA I see great racial animosity. What they hell is wrong with those women? If this continues it will kill the WNBA.

“If this continues it will kill the WNBA.”

So what’s the down side?

And all this just proves the old adage. No one hates women quite as much as other women.

If Caitlin Clark is unable to play at 100% because of injuries, the value of the WNBA will drop 80%. You had a true superstar, but you rejected her because she was white. This didn’t even happen to Jackie Robinson.

Men play hard and get rough, drink together afterwards. Women hate women prettier or more talented than themselves.

I grew up in as rural a place as there is in the USA, had to drive 6 miles to get to a town of 40 people, surrounded by cattle and quarter horses.

I played baseball with about 50% white, 50% black and hispanic. It was common for them to make fun of a ‘cowboy’, while I’d call them ghetto. The PC police would have a heart attack sitting in on one of our drinking sessions!

I had a couple of them up to help haul hay bales and work some cattle, they told those stories about hanging out with those crazy cowboys for years. We had two calves that had been orphaned that were put on a dairy cow that escaped castration till he was about 450 pounds, convinced them we were going to throw him by hand and cut him. We ended up heading and heeling them and stretching him out, but they gave it a hell of a try.

Women are too jealous to let things go.

The female factor could be the deciding factor.
Human Males Appear More Prepared Than Females to Resolve Conflicts with Same-Sex Peers. - https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12110-014-9198-z

Competitive behaviours might not be as direct in females as they are in males, but according to an older study, they’re also less likely to fizzle. The study found that women are less prepared than men to resolve their conflicts with same-sex peers.
They tend to resort to non-obvious confrontations, and indirect aggressions, with “self-promotion” and “denigration of rivals” being commonly employed methods. Some other means are gossiping, downplaying rivals’ success, sabotaging, spreading negativity, boasting, shaming, criticising and discrediting in front of others.
Cross-cultural investigations confirm that compared to men, women experience more jealousy and distress about relatively more attractive same-sex rivals. - https://medium.com/@vinodhrajaraman/female-competitiveness-dynamics-is-it-more-than-men-68a0e0b4d28c
Of course, usually researchers, blame this on evolution, and imagine gender equality would solve it. Yet:

Evolutionary psychologists argue that many of the competitive behaviors we see in women today are remnants of these ancient survival strategies. For instance, the tendency to engage in indirect aggression – think gossip, social exclusion, or subtle put-downs – may have evolved as a way for females to compete for resources and mates without risking physical harm. It’s a fascinating perspective that sheds light on why female competition psychology often manifests in such covert ways.

But it’s not just our evolutionary heritage that influences rivalry among women. Biology plays a significant role too, with hormonal fluctuations contributing to competitive impulses. Estrogen and progesterone, the primary female sex hormones, don’t just regulate reproductive functions – they also influence mood, behavior, and social interactions. During certain phases of the menstrual cycle, some women may experience heightened feelings of competitiveness or sensitivity to social threats.

Interestingly, research has also suggested that there might be a genetic component to rivalry. Some studies have found that certain genetic variations are associated with increased competitive behavior in women. It’s as if nature has hardwired us with the potential for rivalry, leaving it up to our environment and experiences to determine how that potential manifests. - https://neurolaunch.com/female-rivalry-psychology/

Biblically, it is because the primary normative function of the women is that of being a wife and mother, for which she is uniquely fitted to do, and under male leadership overall.

I had continued and it is already killing the WNBA. It is just a matter of time. We are all tired of this stuff.
