Me too. Just miserable. But by carbs I mean grains and sugar. Potato and rice doesn’t seem to matter. But I only rarely eat those but just for weight control and appetite suppression.

Cholesterol is BRAIN FOOD. No wonder we have increasing problems with dementia. Last doctor check up they said it was “a little high.” GOOD!

I agree, for prevention. However, if you have it, giving it a vinegar soak and covering your feet with Vick’s after will cure it over time.

But yeah, keeping your feet dry is key. Wear sandals when you can.

Modern medicine does NOT want you to believe heartburn comes from too much acid. Modern medicine believes heartburn comes from a failed/failing/weakening lower esophagus valve that allows acid from the stomach, in its usual amount, to occasionally splash or flow up the esophagus. That’s why it’s heartburn — a burning sensation in the chest.

Wrong. The efficacy behind PPI's is reduction in acid production

I took Prilosec and other acid-reducing potions for years. If I missed a dose, I’d know it by lunch-time.

Until I cut out sugar. When the “only take for two-weeks” wisdom on Prilosec came out, I stopped immediately. Was going to buy some other relief .... but the heartburn didn’t resume. Have never replaced it and haven’t had heartburn in over a decade.
