The gunman suspected of wounding five people at a Connecticut mall is a teenager who was out on bond on separate charges, officials said Wednesday.
Tajuan Washington, 19, opened fire after confronting another man he “had a history” of “beef” with at the Brass Mill Center in Waterbury Tuesday afternoon, striking the man and four women he was with, Mayor Paul K. Pernerewski, Jr., said during a news conference.
The mayor and police officials said that the shooting, which happened near the shopping center’s main entrance just before 5 p.m., was not a random act of violence.
“This was a one-off incident,” the mayor said, adding that the mall was safe for shopping.

Services? The highways are in shambles. The DMV is a nightmare. Cities are free fire zones. The state government is filled with Democrat cronies and the phones are off the hook. A wind storm will knock off electric service for a weak. My last straw was when Ct made self defense illegal. Ct is a deep blue, hopeless abyss. Instead of a sign saying governor xyz-democrat welcomes you, the sign should read abandon all hope who that enter here.
I guess that is how they justify in their brains that government is robbing them blind
CT cities are among the worst in the entire country.
Major sections are complete “no go” zones.

I knew a lady from Spain who was visiting the US and decided to visit Hartford, CT. She must have read some Chamber of Commerce literature first. Her shocked comments after the trip: “I thought I was in Africa.”

After working in Connecticut doing mechanical services for 50 years I can definatly tell you the worst cities in the State 1-10. Bridgeport #1, Hartford #2, Waterbury #3, New Haven 4, New London 5, East Hartford 6, Stamford 7, Danbury 8, Meridan 9, and Bristol 10.

I was born in Willimantic in the 50’s . It was a nice small city back then . I read recently that now it was voted one of the worst places to live in CT . I left in 1971 and have never looked back . My buddy , who drives through Willi once in a while says you hardly ever see a white person on Main Street these days .
Around 71 I used to hang out with my buddies at UCONN. When we wanted a late night burger we’d go to Willi to a place called Lou’s. They had the best cheeseburgers.

My band ( I was in HS ) used to play frat parties , etc. at UConn once in a while around 1970/71 . In fact our guitarist at that time was a UConn student . Bought quite a few records at a record store at UConn , too . Took girls for night rides up to Mirror Lake on the UConn campus . Just sat and talked chilling in the night air and semi-darkness . Never heard of Lou’s . Are you sure it wasn’t Jim’s on Main Street ?
