My original response was to another poster and he made the false assertion about an imaginary Pope. THIS is what he said and what I was responding to:
"Either they are in a cult where their human leaders think they can change the 10 commandments ie the papacy.."
So if it was "the papacy", which Pope did it? That was my question to his assertion. Still unanswered, by the way.
And obviously you don't really want an answer, you just want to argue. You didn't read your own literature vespa linked to about "RomesChallenge", did you? Never mind: I think I know.
I'm too old and experienced at this to get get baited into a quagmire with multiple anti-Catholics bringing up multiple topics and linking to long, mostly irrelevant sources. I've seen it all. If you know the name of the Pope who changed the Sabbath. tell us, If not, go to bed before you hurt yourself.

So you don’t agree with your own church that your own church changed the holy day of rest?

Your church has historically held it changed the holy sabbath by virtue of it’s authority. And the papacy, the pope, NATURALLY as the head of the church would be the one who is in charge. What do you think......some priest in Timbuktoo did it?
Gimmie a break. Your in denial. You don’t even know your own church history and her claims. Have ever read Keenan’s catechism? Let me quote it for you.....
Q. Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?
A. Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; —she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.
—Rev. Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism; New York in 1857, page 174
That's a trick question. The papacy refers to the institution which eventually became the RCC. They probably went centuries before the first Pope office was invented. To name a non-existent person to answer your question is ludicrous.

No, you're too stubborn and stiffnecked to follow the Word of God. Your eyes are shut and ears are stopped and you blindly follow your denomination.
