It doesn’t. That’s why future models will have it’s own built in, long term, power supply.

Wait until it figures out humans are rational, not necessarily logical. Ergo, an unquantifiable parameter, a variable. It will categorize humans as a threat to its logic routines and proceed to attempt to remove the variable to improve the accuracy and reliability of its logic routines.
It’s all built in.

Unless the AI is integrated into your mandatory neural link.

That is the hardware approach—but there are other options available—especially when AI is not bound by human “rules” or “beliefs” about what is possible and what is not.
Example—there is some research out there on how to influence humans through a wide variety of techniques. Hypnosis is one example of this. Hacking into the brain’s electromagnetic operating system is another.
A determined AI could analyze all the data on the subject and learn how to master it.
Then they could just control key human leadership to do its bidding—no violence needed.

I am also amused by claims that we are competing with China for AI supremacy. There are three players in this game. AI is the one that is most likely to win. Post of the day! We are rushing into the unknown, with actual legislation that already limits state's controls over the tech. I'm not one to believe AI will have purposeful nefarious intentions against humans (or organic life), it's the neglect, errors, and controls I'm concerned about. Nano AI might be our horrific end.
