There used to be talk about how Putin was like Hilter, and how Hitler invaded so many countries even before WWII broke out, and people saying how World War II would have been very different if Hitler had been stopped earlier.

Some people have said if Putin successfully conquers Ukraine, then based on the Hitler analogy, he would invade country after country until World War 3 breaks out.

I don’t know if people here believe this. Unless it happens, I don’t think we’ll ever know if Putin really wants to invade country after country.

Hindsight is always 20/20...

Yet Putin choose to take lives as opposed to land.

Read your history books. Napoleon’s aid was sent to talk to the Russian king and was told they were planning to invade. He told Napoleon’s aid that Russia would trade land and retreat until you caught up to them and they were waiting.

Russia does not, with 1/7th of the world’s landmass, need or want land and wars with neighbors. This is western fiction, war porn.

If Russia were the only country on earth, they would have more of every resource on the planet.

The problem for the US is that England has been ruled by the same group of powerful elites since our Civil War; this group has desired to defeat Russia since the 1860s.

The EU cannot survive without colonies or taking resources from other countries. NATO was unleased to capture cheap oil. The EU cannot product for itself, even with fair trade, the necessities for a modern economy. The US is in a much better position, but we also need natural resources if not for ourselves, our allies.

We are getting close to the moment when this is settled for the next 100 years between EU and Russia; there is going to be no-man’s land where mankind can not survive. Sanctions will a thing of the past. The EU will not even be able to trade with Russia, but they will drop Russian sanctions in order to trade with Brics.

So it goes.

Apparently the government of Finland believes in the Hitler-Putin analogy. They joined NATO after Russia invaded Ukraine because they figured they might be next. Russia also has a bad reputation in Poland for obvious reasons. For all his claims of trying to stop NATO expansion Putin’s invasion of Ukraine may have ironically breathed new life into a dying alliance.
