I am confused by all of this. The year is never given in these statements. But in my mind Americas 250th birthday is in 2026. As the bicentennial was in 1976. 200 years after the signing of the deceleration of independence.

This is for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the US Army, not the Declaration of Independence.

The Bicentinial had events from April. 1775 until July. 4th,c1976.

The armed services were established in 1775 by the 2nd Continental Congress as follows:

Army: June 14, 1775 (also Flag Day)

Navy: October 13, 1775

Marines: November 10, 1775
