Are they good for families with little kids and toddlers?

These are power dogs that like to work. Very high energy level. They would be good with older kids who can run around the large yard and play with them, but I would not recommend them for toddlers, small children, confined spaces, urban dwelling.

If you don’t give them space and something to do, no one will be happy.

They likely won’t hurt kids/toddlers on purpose, but they’ll knock them down repeatedly by accident. Once they’re 10 or so, they would be ok.

I’ve had a bunch of dogs, and last year lost my best one, Malinois at 13.

Have a Dutch Shepherd now, pretty much the same type.
