“Get away boy ya bother me!”
Very much so.
I saw a video the other day of a black bear cub that came up on a guy’s deck, and he was letting the cub sniff around his leg while he talked in a baby voice “See? Awww. Okay. Humans are friends, not food. Aren’t you a nice little guy?”
I was watching this, expecting to see the mother come barreling in from some point, and even if the guy had ten feet to his door, and bear running full speed would make up that distance darn quick!
I was a bit horrified to watch this, but...nothing bad happened.
The English Bulldog has had all its aggressiveness bred out of the breed, since about the end of WWII.
It is now just a big lump of dog..............
I see it as entertainment - I laughed out loud! It’s allowed on FR.
Pitbulls can be really nasty, and if over time they win all the fights, they quickly assume they have no limit and feel like they are king - until they meet a bison. The bison was merely defending itself: it didn’t chase the dog.
It looks like the highway through Yellowstone Park. That’s a big arse fine and lifetime park ban.
There are bad dogs.
Looks like the dog was sic’ed on the buffalo deliberately.
++++++++++++
I saw that too. Guy’s a loser and deserves his dog biting a chunk out of his [insert body part].
The Bison took it so casually. After sending it air born it pushed for a little bit more. Satisfied the dog learned its lesson it went back to business as usual.
When bull (and even bear) baiting was outlawed, “sportsmen” started breeding English bulldogs—who looked a lot like Scott variety American bulldogs—with terriers, who already had a reputation for aggression and pugnacity.
They were used for ‘ratting’, badger baiting in pits—even dog fighting in criminal circles.
The English bulldog survived here in the south and west—long-legged, bigger, nimble, fast, tough—as varmint and hog dogs; of course, we had to make it bigger, stronger, faster creating a bionic bulldog, the Johnson variety.
They have a definite predator mentality and are twice as big as pitbull terriers.
I’ve owned both varieties. American pitbull terriers are one reason I carry.
Don’t fool yourself, thinking (some of) these dogs aren’t dangerous.
There are no bad dogs, only bad owners.
><
That’s the truth.
RESTRAINT:
BEEN THERE DONE THAT
I remember reading that the three most dangerous animals in North America are, in order 1. Bison 2. Bears 3. Mountain Lions (avoiding the word cougar to avoid the bad jokes)
Logic leads us to the conclusion, then—if you or someone you know or care about is mauled or killed by a dog, it isn’t the dog’s fault.
It’s the owner. The dog? He a good boy, he dint do nuffin.
“All dogs go to Heaven. There are no bad dogs.”
Thinking like that can get you hurt, or worse.
Cow just looked at him like, "Whatever..."
I had to climb the fence and get him, of course saving the cow's life.
Puma................
Unrestrained aggressive pit bull, filthy mouthed woman . . .
I’m beginning to see a pattern.
That bison let the pit bull off easy. I’ve seen a mama goat toss her own baby further than that after it got in her way.
🤣 <<== me
Don’t forget “Richard” letting the dog loose.
