Kyiv is a metropolitan area of 3.5 million people.
Of those, some 500 showed up for their 2024 Pride Day demonstrations.
In the meantime, millions across the US marched in Pride Day events in cities like New York, Chicago, Washington, DC, San Francisco and Los Angeles, along with hundreds of other cities around the world.
In Russia itself, hundreds of Pride activists held unauthorized demonstrations during the 1990s and even in Moscow (2006) and St. Petersburg (2013).

But our pro-Russian propagandists here obsessively focus like a laser on the few hundred Pride marchers in Kyiv, as if they can somehow justify Vlad the Invader's Russkiy Mir assaults on Ukraine, or on anybody else.
