While raccoons don’t have a true thumb, they do have an “opposable digit”. If you ever watched these little guys in action you’d see some amazing dexterity by their front paws.

Those idiots. Looks like a dead possum. I often noted they have fingers that look pretty human, apart from the lack of an opposable thumb.
