It is interesting how differently being sexually abused by strangers, male teachers, female teachers priests, ministers, businessmen, politicians, or parents is viewed here. Not saying it did or didn’t happen in this case but the acceptable response here varies widely depending upon the perp.
There are people who are victims of abuse. There are evil people who try to claim they were victims in order to excuse their own evil acts.
I noticed that too. Not sure it’s difference in perps but just a difference in the original media framing. If a case like this happened now, I bet it would be a pretty different reaction by all sides. I could be wrong.

My problem is that they had multiple versions of what happened and so it watered down the “veracity” of their story(s).
