I was in a discussion with friends over Casey Means. The comment that she ‘came out of nowhere’ is nonsense. She wrote a book - Good Energy - and was on multiple podcasts like Tucker’s & Glenn Beck’s to promote it. It got a lot of attention because she in essence was saying our Medical system isn’t about our health or curing anything. It’s about treating conditions. She graduated from Stanford, went on to train as a head & neck surgeon at OHSU, but didn’t complete her residency. She quit practicing medicine after dealing with her mother’s death from cancer. Seeing what her mother went through caused her to re-think what the medical community was doing. I’m sure the book came to RFK’s attention & things went from there. I’ve read it. I don’t agree with everything in it, but she’s certainly right that things are not going well in health care these days.
Thanks. I will give her book a look.
