The Beatles were at the forefront of the British music invasion, so their popularity helped pave the way for others.

Possibly, but Champagne Supernova has to be one of the best songs of the 90’s.

The Beatles were at the forefront of the British music invasion, so their popularity helped pave the way for others.
But their innovations, with the help of George Martin, meant they didn’t quickly fade like other BI bands, like The Dave Clark Five, etc.

In the same vein, I have always loved the Zombies. Their documentary bio-pic is coming out next week in general release and I am very excited to see it.
Driving 3 hours each way. It’s in limited release.
(The film’s title is Hung Up on a Dream - which is one of the songs from the Odessey and Oracle album. And coincidentally, probably my favorite track of theirs.)

Uriah Heep, how about The Who?

Colin Blunstone sang on some of my favorite Alan Parsons Project songs, like “The Eagle Will Rise Again” and “Old And Wise”.

The Small Faces.
Steve Marriott IMHO, was the best frontman ever. And he could play guitar.

“ I’d have replaced Def Leppard with Cream”
Kind of unfair really since Cream was a supergroup made up of the stars of other bands. But I get what you’re saying.
