As of January 2025, a Big Mac in the U.S. costs $5.79, according to the Big Mac Index.

For about 25 years - from when I worked at McDonalds (early 70s) - the price of a Big Mac was almost exactly equal to the price of a gallon of gasoline.

I guess that's still true, in California anyway.
