I am heartened by your comments. Some of the comments on here. Sheesh.
I think TigersEye might’ve nailed it. “The whole incident has the strong smell of a staged event”.
Kid bad or not you don’t talk to a kid like that. Or anybody. I’d like to see the world get better not stoop to lowlife behavior.
What good will that do other than enflame tempers and get worse results. Should we not take the high road here?
Some people thought I took offense at the word. They don’t get it. I don’t want to be encouraging that sort of thought process. We need to get away from racism not continue or be part of it.
No use behaving like the bad guys, that just makes us no better than them.
Thank you for your sensible and good comments.
Well said, Beowulf9. Thank you for your posts. It’s good to know there are still some good people here.
I won’t be the least bit surprised if it turns out that Shiloh Hendrix knows the guy who was videotaping her and/or knows the parents of the 5 yr old autistic kid.
In any case, some here don’t seem to understand that a 5 yr old, with or without autism, does not have agency. That is, the cognitive ability to understand right from wrong or that actions can have consequences.
And good or bad upbringing has nothing to do with it. A child that young cannot grasp the concept. If they are being taught right from wrong they might be able to parrot the principles being taught but they don’t have the mental or emotional maturity to understand the “why” of those concepts and thus the reasoning to apply them to themselves.
I think it is more “Here is a narrative and now we need optics to support it”. Was this a meaningful event like India and Pakistan attacking each other? No. But it has just as much media coverage.
