A guy I worked back when we were both 20 years old just died of leukemia at age 60.
He was a diabetic. Don’t know if that was part of the cause, but it can raise the odds of leukemia.

My best high school friend died of it in his early 20s. His whole family (mother and sisters) had the genetics for it. Terrible disease. They cut off one of his legs and about a year later it ravaged his body.

(AA told me to quit hanging around drunks. So I quit going to AA, cuz that's where they were.)
