I have a feeling the happy people marching down the street on Wegovy and Ozempic will be signing up for the later class action lawsuits “if you used it between these dates you may be part of the billion dollar settlement but you must register by this date.”

But I wish so much my diet and exercise were not for nothing with my low thyroid in which my thyroid does not grant me permission to lose weight. Even on levothyroxine tablets.

Take a selenium/zinc/iodine supplement. My T4 and T3 levels stayed in the toilet even though I was taking Levo. Then I addeded the supplement and the numbers finally started coming up.

I feel so much better. It’s nice to still have energy after 4 pm instead of being a zombie.

~~~~~
The thyroid glands’ main function is to produce T4. T4 converts to T3 as it enters cells. In cells T3 sets up with ATP in an oxidation/reduction hierarchy. In oxidation, T3 converts to T2 as ATP converts to ADP. T2 converts to T1 as ADP converts to AMP. T1 converts to iodine as AMP converts to uric acid. Then cells eject both iodine and uric acid for tagging and excretion.
So in oxidation mode T3 and T4 get used up and depleted. Then your thyroid must create more T4. However, we were not meant to stay in oxidation mode. When cells turn to reduction all of the stages of hormone and adenosine depletion get reversed, and you create T3 without any need for thyroid T4 production.
