my thyroid does not grant me permission to lose weight.
~~~~~
The thyroid glands’ main function is to produce T4. T4 converts to T3 as it enters cells. In cells T3 sets up with ATP in an oxidation/reduction hierarchy. In oxidation, T3 converts to T2 as ATP converts to ADP. T2 converts to T1 as ADP converts to AMP. T1 converts to iodine as AMP converts to uric acid. Then cells eject both iodine and uric acid for tagging and excretion.
So in oxidation mode T3 and T4 get used up and depleted. Then your thyroid must create more T4. However, we were not meant to stay in oxidation mode. When cells turn to reduction all of the stages of hormone and adenosine depletion get reversed, and you create T3 without any need for thyroid T4 production.
We all knew that, of course (😉).
Actually, as a knowledgeable person, what is your answer to how a person with tests always showing a normal range and taking one daily levothyroxine dose one hour before meals in the morning, this isn’t true:
if the body used to supply adequate thyroid secretions and now a replacement is taken, why isn’t the body back to normal? The lack was replaced.
My dental hygienist (also with low thyroid) has a theory it has to do with the exact needs of the body at exact hours of the day and night.
I still have hot flash sweating and bloating an hour after a meal but thank goodness the brain fog and other symptoms are gone.
Thanks in advance.
