Former National Security Advisor Mike Waltz was photographed checking his Signal chat the day before President Donald Trump announced he was stepping down from the role.
Reuters published photos of Waltz during a Wednesday cabinet meeting checking his Signal account. Chats with newly-appointed National Security Advisor Marco Rubio and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard could be seen on his phone.

In the interim, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will serve as National Security Advisor, while continuing his strong leadership at the State Department. Together, we will continue to fight tirelessly to Make America, and the World, SAFE AGAIN,” the president wrote on Truth Social.
Before Trump’s announcement, reports indicated that he was set to fire Waltz. The former Florida congressman appeared on Fox News where he talked up the administration and his work just moments before news of his ousting broke.
Waltz and Signal do not have the best history as Waltz previously accidentally invited Atlantic editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg into what was supposed to be a secure chat discussing a strike in Yemen. That chat included Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and others.
Drama queen much?
Signal is a product of our corrupt CIA who has backdoor access to all SIGNAL communications.
Rubio has been such a pleasant surprise, overall.
Actually, he just got promoted.

I have to wonder how any reporter knows what a person looking at his phone, is looking at - unless they’re reading over his shoulder. Big assumptions made here.
What I find interesting is when we did a West Wing tour back in Trump’s first term, they had a box outside the cabinet room for people to put their cell phones in before entering the room.
...And has the same access (probably not even backdoor) to gov’t emails... So what should everyone be officially using that keeps the CIA out yet still retains records as required of all gov’t communications?

My point was that Signal was put on everyone’s phone by the supposed “security” people working for the administration. Signal is not secure, it is a CIA operation. Trump needs to understand that, & he should have it removed from everyone’s phones. And then he should get rid of the CIA. I hope he’s moving in that direction already.
