Do you remember where you saw the information about DMSO and joint replacements?

Can't remember where I saw it, but since then I have seen people comment that they use DMSO even though they have a artificial joint. It seems to be a concern:

Using DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) on an artificial joint is a debated topic. While DMSO has anti-inflammatory properties that may help with joint pain and swelling, there are concerns about its interaction with prosthetic materials.

Key Considerations

If you're considering using DMSO, it's best to consult your doctor or orthopedic specialist to ensure it won’t interfere with your joint replacement.

There might be a difference in using DMSO on an area where an artificial joint is or using it somewhere else, but SMSO does end up in the blood stream.

In my research, I learned that DMSO should be stored in a glass bottle because it can dissolve certain kinds of plastics.
