I’ve been reading everything I can find on DMSO because I have food and environmental allergies that cause my sinuses to spontaneously fill and drain 2-3 times a day. All my siblings have some kind of reasonably minor auto-immune disorder, except lupus sister. Both of our parents were heavy smokers who smoked in the house and I’m chalking it up to that, but who knows the causes really?

Anyway, the draining down the back of my throat makes me cough to clear my throat and the cough is very alarming to others in this post-covid world. I’ve read that DMSO can ameliorate allergies by reducing inflammation everywhere, so I’m going to start adding a 1/4 teaspoon of 10% solution to 2 ounces of pomegranate juice four times a day. I’ll gradually increase the dose or modify the frequency as it seems required. I’m telling y’all this in case I accidentally kill myself. I’ll be sure to check in at least once a day while I’m doing this. It’s criminal that we all have to figure this out on our own. Oh how I loathe Big Pharma. Wish me luck!

If you don’t mind, tell us how you are feeling each day.

When you cough, look around innocently and say, “I don’t know what’s wrong, I’m triple vaxxed.” Let them ponder that.

Everything I’ve read about DMSO says it’s safe at a much higher concentration than 10 percent but 10 percent is a good place to start. You probably know this already but make sure it’s pharmacy grade. My wife always says when she coughs loudly in public, “It’s asthma, just asthma”. She does have asthma and DMSO could probably help that. Keep us posted on your progress.

Have you tried a xylitol nose spray like Xlear? Or colloidal silver spray? I use both. My sinus problems have been legendary, but have alleviated in recent years after they found the abscesses in my sinuses and treated them. I actually tested out of sleep apnea last year because the sinus swelling had reduced so much. (I still use my machine though. I get the best sleep with that thing.)

I forgot to tell you two other sinus remedies...

Remember when I had that horrible bronchial/sinus thing in April? It went on for several weeks and the thick sinus crud was relentless. After dealing with that stuff going down the back of my throat and then causing me to cough and cough for weeks, I finally took the black seed oil and it knocked it out in about 2-3 days. I took 2 caps in the morning and again in the PM.

Another remedy that works for me is one that a naturopathic doc told me to do years ago. N-A-C taken with Black Elderberry at the same time. I take the Jarrow N-A-C Sustain (600 mg slow release caplets) with Gaia Black Elderberry capsules. I take them during allergy season, which for me is this time of year until the weather gets over 100° and stuff stops blooming (usually until about mid-June) and then I take it again in the fall, about August to November. Not a cure, but it definitely helps, as I always discover when I decide I don't need to take it this year...!

So agree with you about how criminal it is that we have to experiment on ourselves due to a lack in ethical healthcare. Having cancer, this process of experimentation has become a way of life for me. If my onco (whom I really like) cannot perscribe chemo poison, he is basically worthless. Has zero knowledge on anything but the sales pitch of big pharma.
