That was the best song Phil Collins ever recorded. I remember they featured it in the pilot episode of Miami VIce, showing Sonny driving his fancy car through downtown at night and smoking his cigarette on his way to exact revenge on the drug dealer who had killed his girlfriend.

I read that Collin’s is in very poor health and has not been able to play drums for years due to nerve issues in his hands. That song was his masterpiece.

One of my favorite Genesis songs is “The Brazilian” as used in the Magnum, P.I. Season 8 episode “Unfinished Business” in which it shows Magnum planning to avenge a loss.

Great song, but I could never stand his nasal voice.

Re: Genesis ‘In the Air Tonight’.

Ditto, ditto, ditto, even though he’s made statements that appear, at worst, to be anti-Trump and, at best, to be apolitical. Hard to say. He did prevent the Trump campaign from using “In the Air Tonight” at his rallies by filing a Cease and Desist order. I still appreciate the music.
