The PLAN has not seen any significant improvement in its replenishment capability. Their suck rating hovers at just under 30 inches of vacuum.

My hairiest unrep as OOD was in the Med. The only good thing about it was the weather. Light seas, bright sun, and near unlimited visibility. We were taking Navy Distillate port side at 15kts from the oiler, five inch ammunition forward and food and parts stores aft on the flight deck via VERTREP.

That's three different items from three different ships simultaneously. There is no way in hell the PLAN could pull that one off. I'm not even sure they could do that tied up to the pier.

It would be difficult at best to “supermax” Alcatraz, but it would be the PERFECT location to house arrested politicians and related “softies”. Essentially you just have throw on paint, deferred maintenance and some upgraded electronic infrastructure and it’s ready. Very few if any politicians and softies could conceivably get out of it and none could make the swim…
