I’m slowly but surely learning how to convert my Publisher files to Word. (Publisher is gone 9/2026)

Question: If I paste a text box as ‘Keep the Format’, does it convert to Word? Or do I have to create a text box from Word and paste the text into the Word text box?

Pasting a Publisher text box with "Keep Source Formatting" into Word retains text formatting but doesn't create a Word text box. To preserve the text box structure, create a text box in Word (Insert > Text Box), paste the text inside, and select "Keep Source Formatting" from Paste Options. Repeat for each text box to maintain the layout. oof!
