I suspect that Prez Trump thinks that the fastest way to overcome inflation is to promote vigorous economic growth - at all costs. If so, he should tell us his views.
* * *
It looks like Treasury Secretary Bessent has been tasked with making that case:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/pITeNYR7zhA
"There is the potential growth of the debt, but what is more important is that we grow the economy faster..."
"We're trying to bring down the spending and we are going to grow the revenue side ... I inherited 6.75% growth of deficit to GDP ... We're going to grow the GDP faster than the debt grows and that will stabilize the debt to GDP - which Secretary Yellen and I agree is the most important number"
.
In my simplistic thinking that translates to 👉We are not going to try to delay by trying to bring 20% inflationary prices down, we are going to raise incomes to pay the higher prices.👈
That is an interesting strategy; I wonder how that will effect the economies of other countries that trade with dollars for commodities and durable goods in international trade {dollar as reserve currency}... How will it effect our economy? ...adjusting to high inflationary prices?
Where are 'they' trying to bring down spending?❓ They are maintaining $2 trillion deficit spending for two more years! ❗
That is not even accounting for how to pay the $2 trillion a year interest on that debt that they say that they are trying to curtail... I suppose that we could eliminate the defense budget 😯😬
This behavior begs the question: How has it been justified to maintain the spending levels that we had during the pandemmic (about $4T versus $7+T)? Where's the money going?
I wonder how many of those Covid Vaxx deaths were actually due to Remdesivir and the ventilator.
Also, I wonder how many heart-related deaths were actually due to the jab.
Partly guessing but there looks to be a house just to the right. I expect the cat lives there. My old barn cat, Jack, would do that exact thing. He’d stalk me when I was working in the shop or truck bay. Whenever I got on the ground on a mat or creeper he would instantly be on my chest watching whatever I was doing-—like he wanted to help. Power tools didn’t bother him either. He’d stay as long as I was down.
And that was a reason I never fed him fishy kinds of stuff. Didn’t want to have to fight fish breath.
Exactly. Let’s all dig holes and crawl in and die.
I kick on the author’s face!
This guy’s ass is so grass. He got stoopid in DC just in time to get prosecuted by Judge Jennine, who has zero sympathy for dirtbagz. This is federal and the death penalty applies. I expect he’s going to set a record for getting it——faster than Reno cleaned up OkyCity.

I roared with laughter at that pic. The cat just DOES. NOT. CARE. :-)
These losers are obsessed with shooting people in the back and then act like it’s a noble deed to advance their twisted cause. The left is beyond hope. They believe their own propaganda and think its all peace and love in South Africa and every media outlet parrots the same line over and over. Bring it on Judge Jennine.

Why did Musk even bother finding the waste and corruption if the spending bill will keep funding all the crap? The only purpose seems to be to p*ss off conservatives. What am I missing?
“What am I missing?”
It is a reconciliation bill.
“Musk Confirmed It, We’re In Serious Trouble
And it’s too late to do anything about it.

(Is this lib/gloom and doom or reality?)”
I don’t know what will happen, and neither does anyone else.
Trump has already shown that economists have no idea what they are talking about with things like the tariffs and Trump is pushing for the spending bill to pass, so he must think he can achieve a good outcome with it.
And Trump has spoken many times about reclaiming the power of impoundment, so his plan may be to let them pass whatever they want and then just not spend the money on anything he doesn’t want to spend on.
Thank you so much.
