That is a serious charge——people die from allergies due to a severe allergic reaction called anaphylaxis, which can rapidly cause life-threatening symptoms like difficulty breathing, drop in blood pressure, and loss of consciousness. Without prompt treatment, these symptoms can lead to cardiac arrest or death.

I went into anaphylactic shock after a platelet transfusion. Fortunately I was in the hospital. Scariest thing I ever experienced. It took multiple Benadryl injections, along with steroid injections, breathing treatments in the oxygen.
My BP dropped , couldn’t breathe. I truly thought I was going to die. They were about to intubate me when the treatments started taking effect. It happened fast and most people (out at dinner) do not have access to the type of treatment I was given.
