Think McGovern in '72. Better yet Howard Dean in '04. They'll be unable to pull another late switcheroo as the Bernie wing attracts the David Hogg's out there.
As for the switcheroo factor it didn't work for Hillary in '16 or Kamala in '24.
My concern is the 48% Kamala got.

It wasnt a real 48%, first. But since we do electoral college to allow all states that are not massive population centers to also have some relevance to the nationwide election, the 48% doesnt have the same impact.
