i like the bare bones
my truck has crank windows
i dont like paying for crap i dont need
that just adds to maintenance costs
evs make sense cuz you will not be allowed outside of your 15 minute city without permission
so who needs range?
Personal pref: small SUV / crossover before another sedan (hard to clamber in and out of those things at my age), or a truck (poor fuel economy). If I were still commuting and had the money, I’d have an electric (already have the 220 outlet in the garage, welder’s no longer around). Electric trucks, Rivian before Cybertruck due to styling.
[snip] Chrysler built a wind tunnel at the Highland Park site, and tested at least 50 scale models by April 1930. Their engineers found that then-current two-box automobile design was so aerodynamically inefficient that it was actually more aerodynamic when tested as if being driven backwards. [/snip]

We have a lot of Cybertrucks around here.
Owners have taken to customizing them with different paint jobs and they look really cool.
The plain stainless steel is kinda boring.
I’ve seen Red ones, Blue Ones and a Green Stylized one that has an old time ‘Woody’ look.
One owner painted theirs Jet Black, I don’t know why..............
Woody, huh? Surf city, here we come. :^)
I took an Uber ride last week from home to the San Jose airport. It was a Tesla 3. The driver has driven for Uber for quite a while and this is his fourth car. He loves it because of the minimal maintenance requirements. The only fluid is in the windshield washer!
Our daughter’s long-time boyfriend drives a Chevy Bolt. They can charge it at home with their rooftop solar, but, if he needs a full charge, he drives over to the next town and uses the free civic chargers at the library! He takes his folding bike with him and rides home, then goes back to get the car a few hours later.
I had an Intl Scout II and while it was bigger, it had a tight turning radius for it’s size and I lived in FL so I had a bimini top on it year round. I wouldn’t mind getting something similar again. Scout, Scout II, Samurai, Jeep CJ etc.
