It’s been a tense neighborhood for about 6,000 years.

On a more positive note. Meet some Hunza people — of the stunning Hunza Valley of Pakistan. The region boasts one of the world’s highest life expectancies. The people reflect a fascinating mixture of genetics and ethnicities.

That has always been a place where war could destroy the United States.

They have about 70 nukes each. Warheads. And the sort that they have and the purpose that they would employ them for essentially guarantees ground bursts because they’re trying to kill maximum number of people in the largest population of the world.

Ground bursts mean fallout. If you check the latitude of the region of conflict you will find that that fallout spread would force us to evacuate Texas, and its oil fields.

I can eat those. One thing I won’t try is yak meat: LoL. I am the finickiest eater…To make up for it, my YouTube habits largely consist of living vicariously through adventurous foodies scoping out all kinds of locales and watching cooking videos amidst remote and exotic backdrops :).

Apparently they don’t have Thermonuclear weapons or H-bomb’s. You can make an H-bomb at any scale desired but usually limited to 20 Megatons because anything bigger just gets wasted going into space.

I would love to try yak meat. I bet it's healthy.

Probably not - during the Cold War there were 500 above-ground tests. I’m not sure how many stirred up dust, but plenty did, and many of these nukes were seriously big. The last that I heard from India/Pakistan were that their nukes were small, smaller than Her-rho-she-ma (as the Left calls it). Might give China and Japan a decent dusting, though.

...of course I could be wrong. Be interesting to see what Scott has to say, as that’s his expertise.

There is a yak ranch (and cattle) a few miles way. I can buy a whole or half yak. Not gonna do it.

On May 18, 1998, India conducted a thermonuclear test. Seismic readings indicated that the test was successful. Pakistan responded with a fission bomb test. The powers-that-be propagated a false narrative that India’s test was a dud. India has the H-bomb, Pakistan does not.
