Diet and sedentary lifestyle I suppose. We’re used to three meals a day - they sometimes didn’t eat for a few days. Just guesses on my part. They measured the testosterone from earlier eras by skull thickness. Anthropology enlightens a few.

That makes sense, Hunter Gatherers would have to gorge when they could because it might be days before they find more sustenance to gorge on again.

That is what makes the “Early man was Vegan” theory null and void. There was no way they could last through the winter on flora that DID NOT grow until next spring...
