I really hate the way that Americans treat Democrat former presidents like royalty. It's very unbecoming.

By and large, Republican presidents retire to their homes as private citizens, which was the original idea in the Constitution anyway. For the most part they keep their mouths shut in public about politics.

But Democrat presidents stay in the public spotlight, lapping up the adulation that is generally associated with royalty. Sickening.
