Vigano's frustration (and yours, I suppose) are understandable, but no person, even a Roman Catholic Archbishop, knows what is in someone's heart and on their lips at the moment of death, and every Christian knows (or should) about the thief on the cross who repented.

No one, not even Jorge Bergoglio, is beyond redemption, not as long as life is within the body.

Jesus did not die on the cross to save us from anihilation. Jesus had some things to say about Hell. I guess Francis thought himself more informed than Jesus on the subject. Which is rather appalling.
