A wannabe-G.I. Jane’s dream of becoming the first female Navy S.E.A.L. ended because military recruiters delayed her application so long that she aged out, she claimed in a lawsuit.
The US Navy officials failed to advance Amanda S. Reynolds’ application, then told her in the fall that she would no longer qualify for Naval Officer Training Command in Newport, RI, because she’d be over the age limit of 42 by the time she graduated, according to court papers.
“The opportunity . . . was kind of taken away from me. I would like that to be reinstated,” Reynolds, 41, told The Post. “I would just like the outcome to be determined by the merits instead of by some sort of technicality.

In before the photo of Captain Renault declaring that he is shocked, Shocked! to discover that actual deal differs from that described by the recruiter.
I wasn’t Delta. Worked with them. 2VP. I’m not accusing you of anything. Merely making a point about modern society in general.
What coincidental timing for such an observation!
I have been known for impeccable timing over the years, usually to the advantage of someone needing some intervention.
My brothers always joke about me being very approachable.
And that is NOT a military uniform this "whatever" is wearing. It's a club thing.
Would it be okay with her if the Navy, as part of the settlement, just gives her a Trident?
She doesn’t have the balls for the job...
Guess she could hope for a demonic Obama USA hating Judge for a quick payout, she’ll need to first get in line behind the MS-13 gangbangers there ahead of her.
She’s 41. Hell week would have her ringing the bell.
Ok which is it. The article says Naval Officer Training Command in Newport while the heading says SEAL. Big difference. The first is to make her an officer. SEAL: training is completely different.
Maybe Biden should try out.
Sorry Ma’am, rules are rules. Didn’t you say you wanted equal treatment to men? Well, now you have received that treatment.
The Navy spends A LOT of money training SEALs, even with the understanding that most will drop out. Even before BUD/S (what everyone thinks of in their mind as SEAL training) there's already about a full year of schools and training they have to go through. The Navy don't have the time or money to waste trying to accommodate some 42-y/o woman who "always dreamed of being a SEAL" when they already know she's unlikely to make it through. Believe me, those instructors at NAB Coronado can sniff a washout miles away. They see them every day. The Navy has a duty to weed most of them out before they ever arrive.
Many a Sailor has "always dreamed of being a SEAL." Very few will make this a reality. This isn't the "Make-A-Wish America" foundation.
How about this: no.
Does she have a poster of Demi Moore inside her footlocker.?
Her: Infinitesimal
“You keep using that word...”
She is a looney dummy.
-— “She must be really good if” she is so-o-o stealth that even the military couldn’t figure out where she was! 007 time! Hiding in plain sight is so-o-o clever. < s a r c >
She nuts and could never complete the course unless they lower the hell out of the standards. I think I’ve read every book on the SEALS and I doubt I could have made it during my prime. She’s an idiot. She needs to go do what every other “hero” does, Go Be A “Sniper.”
No doubt. They told the kid he was very close to making it
