A person can be “intelligent” about any subject matter. When properly indoctrinated, the person’s intelligence can be modified to that subject matter, regardless of its moral values, usefulness, evil, destruction, or self-sabotage. So, yes, this old article is accurate and, to the SMART person, can be evaluated as a warning that a healthy mind can be soiled by the evil content that it is relentlessly or, often, helplessly exposed to by a corrupt and, yes, “intelligent” education system.

The article tells me we are dealing with a Marxist bent that lacks objectivity.
Conservatives are quite generous but prefer it’s done with loving care and discernment and not at the point of a gun. Money forcefully collected and handed out without care and many times with grift, well...it’s lazy and foolish.

It’s some sort of self affirmation or something. I don’t think it’s necessarily true, but it is also an irrelevancy. We’re talking about something perhaps measurably marginal at best, and at the mean, but implies little as to what may be perhaps more important matters such as ethics or social, familial and/or civic contributions and responsibilities. It doesn’t weigh for differing sets of abilities. “More intelligent” doesn’t mean much if you can’t function in life without outsourcing much of life itself - plumbing, car repair, home maintenance etc. And intelligence, however it may be construed or measured, is soon to be replaced by artificial artifices. ChatGPT or Grok or many of the others for raw information and calculations and reasoning, followed by Android units that will be as functional as they will be intelligent. This will render many current human tasks redundant.
It’s a good thing too, because the “liberals” severely damaged a generation of kids with their idiotic lockdowns that kept kids out of school during critical formative years in which social interaction and problem solving skills are learned. They are so smart that they faked studies, created a new problem to solve a perceived problem, and not only constantly and consistently lied they stuck their fingers in their ears and shouted “lalalalala” at any attempt to challenge the many precepts - the risks, the origin, the potential for off the shelf treatments, the ability to mitigate contagion such as “double masking” lol. We now know this was almost entirely based on lies, half truths or fiction and yet it was force fed and used for raw political power. If intelligence is a surrogate for power then it should come with a hell if a lot more responsibility and accountability.

Some confuse knowledge with intelligence. It stands to reason that those with book knowledge go off to universities which are rife with leftist ideology and leave with same, thus making it appear that “intelligent” people are more “liberal” (actually leftist).
Common sense is a whole other subject. It would be interesting if someone would compare conservatives and liberals on that point.
Solomon, son of David, was the wisest, most intelligent man maybe ever. But all that wisdom and intelligence didn’t keep him from blowing it and turning his heart away from the Lord God to the idols of the world, the flesh, and the devil.
David, on the other hand, maybe not as wise and intelligent as his son Solomon, was nevertheless “a man after God’s own heart” and except for the Uriah/Bathsheba matter, lived an extraordinarily victorious righteous life.
The Left is like Solomon and the Patriotic Right is more like David.
