The main part of the problem.

I imagine that AI could compete very well against so-called electro music that relies on fake vocals and beatbox instrumentals.

I suspect a lot of opinion pieces are already being written by AI and not journalists.

And as far as brand new news about say, a murder, I bet the journalists are already using AI to write any background info.

With some of the art, movies, and music we see, I fail to see how it could be worse.

Well she is correct. They are going to be replaced. But replacing the mediocre writers and singers nowadays doesn’t take much effort.

Look at how they managed to kill off Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Marvel, Star Trek and other gold mine franchises. Disney and Warner Brothers seem to like losing money by hiring these hacks. No way AI does a worse job.

I have listened to some AI songs on youtube and some of them are not so bad. But that is such a low bar considering modern music. Science fiction is mostly a joke nowadays and most books are written for women in every category.

No way AI could do worse than most of these current writers and singers.

I do not believe AI is the super-intelligence it is claimed to be.

It seems to be just a bunch of online opinions mashed together and extruded as the "answer," and you can always spot an AI generated answer.

I just had an online customer service chat with an allegedly real person, but the answers it gave me were the same exact answers I got when I queried the HTML FAQs.

Can you imagine what a nightmare it's going to be when it is impossible to contact an actual human being, only AI bots pretending to be actual human beings?

One of my buds uses this AI website to create music. He writes the lyrics, and describes what he wants the singer to sound like, and the music style, and presses the button. It has pretty much NAILED modern country music. His stuff sounds just as produced as anything on a country station.

There is software right now that creates short Tiktok and youtube videos that have a quiz. They insert ads and upload 100’s of these videos to the site and can make a fortune. Think ad farms when you do a google search. Nothing useful but if you click someone gets paid.

I have watched many AI videos at youtube. They are getting pretty good. The videos are slow paced I think due to needing much faster computers and the voices are stilted and monotoned but you can see how AI can be used for background scenes and putting out of work the background actors and set builders.

As for other industries you have to double check using people. I created a simple webpage using the same code. Each time I used the same text I got a slightly different layout with slightly different code.

You would not want to use it on anything complex just yet for say designing medical equipment or software or designing a building etc.
