The unhinged vagrant who attacked a decorated Delta Force vet with a brick in a shocking broad-daylight attack in the East Village is now locked up on $25,000 bail.
James Lawson, 44, who already had five busts and an open case on his rap sheet, appeared with his face covered in bruises as he was arraigned Monday night and shipped off to Rikers Island in the Sunday morning attack on vet Mark Antal.
Antal, 54, was waiting for his daughters outside a pilates studio near his Manhattan home when Lawson allegedly ordered him to get off “his street” shortly before 11:30 am, according to police and sources.
Lawson allegedly lunged at Antal and the two got into a scuffle, with the vagrant then picking up a brick and slamming the victim in the head — with Antal then wrestling his attacker to the ground despite being dazed and injured.

Antal probably did not.
One is for breaking bones.
Second is for killing your adversary.
One for putting someone down with the least amount of damage possible and one where you want them down permanently.
Always remember Daniel Penny.
And any blow delivered with enough force to break a bone can also result in death.
You do not want to find yourself on trial for your life just to win the approval of someone on the internet.
Predators on society should be put down like the rabid animals they are.
There are too many cretins like this in the big cities who pose a serious danger to decent people. I don’t understand how we manage to cultivate so many psycho people. Things seem to have changed for the worse since I was a youth.
Such learned long before there was a thing called internet.
They have done studies of crime and discovered that the majority of violent crime is done by under 100 people in Chicago.
Lock those people up and violent crime goes down.
But they don't.
In New York there are probably under 200 raving loonies that run around attacking people. That is a fraction of a percent.
You could easily lock those people up and reduce crime but they don't. And so it happens again and again.
The thought by some is crime is a natural thing and that if you remove one criminal another person will pop up in his place. That is some what true for supply and demand crime, drug dealing, stolen property and such. But it is not true for violent crime against strangers. You have to have something very wrong in your brain box to do something like this person did. The supply of those people is limited. You remove them and another is not going to pop up.
So you can control it.
They don't want to.
Antal is 54 years old and his operator days are far behind now. If you saw the picture of him in the article it appears he was hit w/the brick in the temple area and he is still in the hospital w/”serious head injuries.” The fact that he remained conscious and was able to keep fighting is a testament to his “stay in the fight mentality" and amazing in itself.
Those who write the laws in places like NYC are placing law abiding citizens in terrible jeopardy to evil and crazed individuals like James Lawson. THAT is the real problem here; NOT Mr Antal’s martial arts performance.
Situational awareness is something we all need to practice even more diligently in the current political environment.

Just euthanize the POS.
Get the vermin off of the streets.
They have done studies of crime and discovered that the majority of violent crime is done by under 100 people in Chicago.
Lock those people up and violent crime goes down.
