The NFL has fired three officials.
Second-year umpire James Carter, third-year line judge Robin DeLorenzo and first-year down judge Robert Richeson were the officials sent back to the college ranks. DeLorenzo didn’t qualify for a postseason game in HER two seasons; and Richeson was not playoff eligible as a rookie.

I recall a book being hawked, quite a few years ago, maybe on over the air Howard Stern, maybe Glenn Beck? The author was discussing cheating in sports and he said it was so prevalent that he no longer watched any sports except for pure entertainment in the moment, that he had lost all confidence in “rooting for a home team” in an “honest” competition anymore. I don’t recall the author or the book title. could have been 25 yrs ago.
AA was still wrong. DEI is just AA by another name. It means legal discrimination against white people, mainly men.
I am not arguing AA was right, but AA was at least a LAW, companies had to comply.
DEI is not law, companies voluntarily do this nonsense
+1.
I wish I could go back and reuse the time I spent. I can’t, but never again. Not going to waste the time I have left.
“affirmative action”
They keep changing the name. Quotas is also now a dirty word.
Judge Boasberg of the US District Court for the Washington DC just ordered the NFL to reinstate them.
That and the kneeling for the anthem and the way some of the players act off of the field.
May the NFL disappear into the dustbin of history for their anti-American diatribe and support of Communist organizations such as Black Lives MatterTM.
Sounds like “The Fix is In” and “The Fix is Still In” by Brian Tuohy.
Actually I just heard recently that the NFL was bringing in technology for next season in the placement of the ball.
Meaning there will be AI technology to know when the player carrying the ball crosses 10 yards from the previous spot to obtain a First Down. Also, it will be used for BALL placement.
This resulted primarily from blown calls in the AFC Championship game when Buffalo Bills QB made a First Down and the Refs could not see it. OR the fix was in for the Chiefs to win, as many people claim(wink, wink, nod, nod).
The NFL has to do this IMHO with the amount of money being bet on all these games. IF people perceive that these games are FIXED to benefit one team over the other then people will stop betting. It is all about the money.
Is a bazoola one of those obnoxious plastic horns you hear at third world sporting events?
Meanwhile, Brad Allen remains untouched.
The white hat is for the referee, not the head linesman
Yes, thank you.
Yes, thank you.
If they just went by the ground, this wouldn’t be debatable. None of this crap ‘plane of the endzone’ or how far did he lean forward then get pushed back’ stuff.
Touchdown is literally that. Touching the ground of the end zone. Foot, knee, ball, whatever. Downs are down. Where did what part touch the ground first. All of which is objective and easy to replay.
**May the NFL disappear into the dustbin of history for their anti-American diatribe and support of Communist organizations such as Black Lives MatterTM.**
Won’t happen.It’s bigger than ever.
**The white hat is for the referee, not the head linesman**
Oh.
“None of this crap ‘plane of the endzone’ or how far did he lean forward then get pushed back’ stuff.”
That “crap” has been in place since 1889.
These leagues are chasing sports gamblers because they're the last large demographic left.
The problem with chasing gamblers is that when they find something better to gamble on, they'll leave the NFL behind, just like they did with boxing and horse racing. Yeah, those sports are still around, but they're a shell of what they once were.
