I have yet another dumb question: If the IRS knew these returns were being filed by illegals, why didn’t the IRS inform the Social Security Administration of the illegal use of social security numbers.

Don't you just love to pay the salaries of government employees who aren't even working? I have kind of gotten used to it.
In fact I rather prefer it.
The IRS employee I am currently arguing with over pizza for a work crew being a business expense is, technically, working. However I would say that his time would be better spent playing Minecraft and leaving me in peace.
