His carrying a concealed knife capable of putting a deadly hole in another person’s heart tends to support your opinion that he was looking for trouble.
Who knows what accounts are true, but the Daily Mail article claimed that the arrest report said that at one point he said something to the effect of “Touch me and see what happens.” That is a dare. From the time he left for the competition with that hidden knife in the bag, to the time he went under a different team’s awning (who does that?) to the time he dared the other guy to touch him, he was aggressively pursuing a fight. If his classmates say this is what he was like, his actions that day match what they say about him.
Why was he like that? He was a star athlete; he shouldn’t have had an inferiority complex or need to prove himself. If he wasn’t pursuing a gang in real life why was he wanting to be a gangsta online and go looking for fights in real life? Seems like the left’s normal excuses (poverty, discrimination, police brutality, no hope for the future) don’t work for his story. Why did he choose to seek out wanton violence?
I wonder what artists he listened to and how much. And I wonder if he’s been tested for substances.
Days before the Daily Mail and the N.Y. Post ran similar stories, the local Texas news stations, as well as people who were there, said that that was what he said...it was all preplanned, in my opinion.
The self defense excuse was asked as a question, of the policeman who caught him. He was looking for an excuse,or perhaps someone had previously told him that it was a good excuse. I don't know. I ONLY know what I've posted.
The victim's twin brother stated: "touch me ....etc." is what the murderer said to his brother, right out of the box, and others who were there and witnessed what happened, also said the same thing. That was in the local news, as well as in newspapers.
All of which leads me to believe that the whole thing was preplanned by the murderer.
