Indeed. The only real argument for abortion on demand for any reason is that the product of conception is not a human being, thus is not a "person," and thus has no rights, but can be treated akin to a tumor. However, if something is growing inside of you as a result of engaging in a procreative act,, which contains uniquely human DNA from the outset, and will soon (as early as 5 weeks) have a heartbeat, and quite rapidly become increasingly manifest to be human, then what is it?
What of "my body, my choice?" A women chooses a man to be her boyfriend though there is the risk of her becoming involved with his family. One day he comes over to her home when she is sleeping, and she later discovers that he brought his infirm little brother with him and who requires a lot of care, which he unexpectedly was stuck with. Her response is that she did not sign up for this, though they both knew there was a risk of being involved in this situation. Rather than seeing to it that this unwanted intrusion receives the care this child needs, then under the principle of "my house, my right." they drown the boy in the bathtub and throw him in the trash.
This is later discovered, however, since the little boy was not fully functional, and was inside her home, then the extermination of life is held to be justified. The couple later also deal with an infirm parents by killing them, rather than be burdened with providing needed care.
Man playing God.
Great analogy!
